Sonia OsorioSonia Osorio is a certified massage therapist and yoga teacher with a background in natural health care, dance and journalism. She facilitates workshops in massage and conscious touch, and offers consultations in women's health care. She has completed advanced teacher-trainings in Ashtanga and Iyengar-based yoga, and has studied with senior teachers in these traditions. She has also studied mindfulness practices with Zen Buddhist master Thich Naht Hanh, and continues to deepen her exploration with studies in Tibetan Buddhism and yoga. Sonia also contributes to various health care publications as both a writer and editor, and is currently working on her Master's degree in homeopathic medicine. Her work is a continual reminder of our capacity to move through life with pleasure and joy, and her commitment is to cultivate health and well-being in all aspects of our lives.
David AltmannDavid Altmann is a PMP-certified project manager, who has taught, coordinated projects and traveled extensively throughout the world, with extended time in India, Asia, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. He studied Vipassana meditation in India with S. N. Goenka and currently practices Buddhist meditation. He is on the Advisory Committee of BODHI Prinicple, an organization dedicated to bringing yogic principles of health and well-being to the corporate environment. David is also a massage therapist and Reiki practitioner who specializes in Swedish massage. He approaches both his work and his life with enthusiasm, humor and compassion. David FlewellingDavid Flewelling has a profound knowledge of body mechanics. After receiving his BA from the School of Contemporary Arts from Simon Fraser University, David moved to Montreal from Vancouver, where he had been creating and choreographing dance pieces for over 10 years. He started practicing yoga in 1994 and teaching in 1998. David has trained in Stott Pilates, and is currently deepening his own practice and teachings in Iyengar and Vinyasa-based yoga techniques. As a professional contemporary dancer, and a dynamic and knowledgeable yoga and Pilates teacher, David’s knowledge and experience of the body in motion - and in stillness - offers an opportunity to practice in a way that allows a deeper exploration of the body-mind connection.
